MindEd is based in Health Education England and is a free elearning site aimed at equipping professionals and members of the public with evidence-based information about children, young people, adults with learning disabilities and older people's mental health.

MindEd is led by a consortium of leading professional bodies, voluntary and charity sector organisations. The consortium provides multi-sector, multi-professional input, supporting MindEd to identify priority needs and gaps in mental health elearning. The consortium also plays a valuable role in promoting MindEd within their relevant sectors.

The postholder will be responsible for providing strategic and clinical leadership and overseeing management of the MindEd Consortium.


Duties include:


  • Working closely with the MindEd National Clinical Lead and Programme Manager to oversee the strategy, development and delivery of MindEd
  • Providing governance and oversight to the MindEd Programme
  • Chairing quarterly MindEd Programme Board meetings and biannual MindEd Consortium meetings, including review and signoff of minutes and board papers
  • To represent and positively promote the MindEd programme
HEE provides leadership for the education and training system.

It ensures that the shape and skills of the future health and public health workforce evolve to sustain high quality outcomes for patients in the face of demographic and technological change.

HEE ensures that the workforce has the right skills, behaviours and training, and is available in the right numbers, to support the delivery of excellent healthcare and drive improvements through supporting healthcare providers and clinicians to take greater responsibility for planning and commissioning education and training.
