Role Overview
We are seeking to recruit a Marketing Assistant to join our fantastic Marketing, Comms and Events team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or individual who is looking to begin their career in marketing.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Preevent promotion and social media scheduling for our rolling events programme.
  • Pre event preparation and support, name badges, attendee registrations, arranging marketing collateral etc.
  • On the day event support, engaging directly with attendees on social media posting from the Chamber account to profile event and replying to social members posts.
  • Postevent marketing, posting albums to social channels, tagging and mentioning members, and social moderation.
  • Increase engagement with members social content by sharing member news, offers and events across various social channels and looking for new ways and ideas to engage our following.
  • Assist with social media campaigns across various channels for all departments.
  • Finding and following members, increasing engagement with existing members across social channels.
  • Support with daytoday management of the website, uploading news articles, sharing press releases, blog posts, and user management.
  • Lead point of contact for adhoc requests from membership team relating to members news, offers, events, sharing posts on social and website queries.
  • To Champion social media within the Chamber, including supporting colleagues on how to use it and managing the Chambers group social networks on LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook.

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent including Math and English
  • Educated to degree standard or equivalent
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Customer orientated and focused
  • Strong social media skills
  • Project management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written
  • Proof of building on social networking platforms
  • Proficient in IT systems including Microsoft packages
  • Must have use of a car and hold a current driving licence
