Our client based in Poole has an immediate requirement for 3 skilled Shift Engineers to join their large manufacturing operation.

We are looking for good allrounders, but ideally would like to find 2 people with an electrical bias and 1 person with a mechanicalbias.

The purpose of the role is to provide multi-skilled engineering support to the production stream working as part of the engineering team, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive maintenance function covering plant, equipment and auxiliary services.

In addition you will strive to continuously improve asset performance by engaging in continuous improvement and problem solving activities.

You will have strong competence in both mechanical and electrical engineering, have a good understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, have the ability to demonstrate PLC programming and system diagnosis skills, knowledge of circuit boards, computer hardwareand software, experience of CAD system usage for electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic drawings and must also be able to demonstrate a good understanding (and previous use) of continuous improvement tools and techniques (e.g.

TPM, RCA, 5S, RCM, Kaizen,SMED)
Applicants must be time served multi-skilled technicians, ideally in an FMCG environment.

An apprenticeship or electrical/mechanical apprenticeship with additional recognised training would be an advantage; you must have a minimum NVQ Level 3 in EngineeringMaintenance (Electrical and Mechanical) or Level 3 BTEC in Engineering or ONC/D in Engineering.

Applicants must be proficient in written, numerical and verbal skills, have good communication skills with people at all levels of the organisation and must be able to demonstrate good computer competency in MS Office and any CMMS systems.

The company operates a Panama Shift Pattern so you will work 12-hour shifts (05:45 till 17:45 / 17:45 till 05:45) on a weekly rotation of days and nights; you will be required to work every other weekend.

We can offer a starting salary of £44,528 per annum, 24 days holiday + 3 bank Hols ( Xmas, Boxing day and New Year's day), auto enrolment pension plan, long service awards, subsidised canteen and onsite free and secure car park.
