Our modern manufacturing facility at Western Approach is an International Centre of Excellence in composite wing structure design and production, manufacturing composite wing spars and Fixed Trailing Edge assemblies for some of the world's most popular aircrafts.
Based at our Western Approach site at Severn Beach, our new Material Handling & Warehousing Inspector will join our Logistics Team who locate, prepare, move stock, carry out the management of warranty claims and perform salvage activities, whilst maintaining inventory status and performing physical inventory procedures.
As our new Inspector, you will help us ensure all materials are in the right place at the right time.
You will be responsible for the verification of incoming product characteristics, traceability data, batch documentation and other quality records, utilising a range of inspection techniques and methods including - but not limited to - visual, mechanicals, automated, contact and non-contact.
Job ResponsibilitiesFollow standard work for material handling (e.g. receiving, shipping, warehousing)
Perform all activities in accordance with safety and quality rules
Use adequate equipment (forklift, tow train) to move material
Records movements of material in the transactional records systems (e.g. receipt, booking)
Make proposals to improve safety, quality, efficiency
Use appropriate equipment (forklift, tow train) to move material
Prepare Tags for Escapes found at receiving and communicate with Suppliers as necessary
Support Scrum process on Supplier Tags and escapes found at Operations and/or customers.
Analyse and communicate supplier quality performance and identify improvement areas.
Support root cause analysis, preventative and corrective action to reduce/eliminate non-conformances including supplier audits
Support continuous improvement of production and inspection processes by implementing Lean initiatives.
