An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a receptionist/administrator, working at our veterinary hospital in Ormskirk.
The role requires passion and interest in the welfare of animals and a basic understanding of their care, although specific training will be given where required.
A uniform is provided.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate experience in customer service, both over the phone and face to face.
Applicants must be computer literate.
The role requires compassion and the ability to stay calm in a busy or difficult situation.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Answer incoming calls and greet customers quickly and efficiently and in a polite and friendly manner.
- Arrange, book, and amend client appointments.
- Ensure all client records are maintained.
- Manage calls and queries from customers to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
- Process payments from clients relating to their pet's treatment or prescriptions.
- Dispensing medication that has been prescribed by Vet.
- Practicing stock rotation.
- Ensure the reception and consultation rooms are always clean and tidy and that all stock is correctly priced and displayed.
- Process insurance claim forms and carry out other administrative duties.
- Manage outgoing post.
Essential role related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience:
- Maths and English GSCE
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Computer literacy
- Customer service experience
- Organisational and time management skills
Job Type:
Part-time
Part-time hours: 27 per week
Salary:
£6.83-£10.18 per hour
