Description
Head of Finance & Resources
Recruitment Pack
January 2023

Thank you for your interest in the post of Head of Finance & Resources at Sussex
Community Foundation.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a big difference to your community, and to help our organisation become more efficient, while honing your skills in finance and management.

Sussex Community Foundation is one of the fastest growing community foundations in the country. We give grants to grassroots charities across Sussex and reach the charities that others cannot.

We raise our funds by inspiring high net worth people and organisations to support their local communities and providing bespoke services that show them the difference their donations make.

In the last three years we have given grants worth over £12 million to charities that are helping people through crisis - from the Covid Pandemic to the Cost of Living
Crisis.

This has made a huge difference to people's lives, but we also need to address the long-term challenges like climate change, poverty & disadvantage and inequality.

We believe that small local charities have a vital role to play.

We have created this post of Head of Finance & Resources to help the Foundation to continue to grow and to become more efficient and effective.

We are good at managing money, but we want to get better. Your role will include leading a digital transformation of our office, finance and IT systems.

This is a broad role in a small organisation so you will need to be involved in day-to-day tasks and problem solving as well as high level management and finance.

Don't worry if you can't meet all the requirements of the job - if you are up for the challenge, we would love to hear from you.

The post will be part of our senior management team and will manage one other post, which is currently vacant.

You would have the opportunity to shape this role.
This is great opportunity to be part of an inspiring organisation. I look forward to hearing all about you.

Interviews will be held on Friday 24th February.

Kevin Richmond, Chief Executive
