Description
We are looking to add to our Sales team due to business expansion.

The role of Sales & Customer Service Support is a new opening within our family owned business and will further strengthen our office team.

The Sales & Customer Service Support role is pivotal in assisting all functions within Trent Instruments.

Working primarily as part of the Sales department to support all sales activities in order to maximise opportunities and ensure a high level of customer service.

Assisting with planning, coordinating and general administrative tasks in order to ensure the smooth running of the office and aid the business in being agile in adapting to customer needs.

This position is a full time, permanent role with an immediate start available.

The role
As Sales & Customer Service Support, you will report directly to the Sales Manager.

As an integral part of the Sales and Office team, you will ensure our customers have an end to end positive customer service experience


Duties will include:

  • Preparing quotes for customers.
  • Processing order requests and acknowledgements.
  • Proactively communicating with customers and providing an end to end positive experience.
  • Offering aftersales support to customers including keeping customers updated with relevant product information and additional services.
  • Manage the Sales inbox and communicate any actions required to the office team.
  • Answering calls into the office and ensuring all enquiries are dealt with.
  • Updating and managing third party portals and order books to ensure smooth delivery performance.
  • Working with customer's material planners to ensure satisfaction of their evolving requirements.
  • Utilising the Sage platform to generate Purchase orders and Delivery notes to aid business operations.
  • Preparing and distributing internal Sales related performance KPI's.
  • Update and maintain customer records.
  • Coordinate import / export activity.
  • Prepare for and participate in Customer visits.
  • Demonstrate excellent Customer Service.
  • Be commercially focussed and actively seek Sales opportunities.
  • Be enthusiastic, confident and have a positive personality
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Competent using MS Office (Excel, Word, Planner)
  • Can work under own initiative and as part of a team
  • Able to prioritise workload and demonstrate strong time management skills
  • Problem solve and make decisions
  • Improve ways of working by suggestion and implementation
  • High attention to detail

Job Types:

Salary:
£25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
