The Derby Children's Continuing Care team (CCT) has an exciting new opportunity to lead on staff education.


We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated Band 6 Paediatric Nurse to educate and train Nursing and Family Support Worker staff on the clinical skills and equipment necessary, to care for the complex health needs of the children and young people that require packages of care from the CCT.


We currently have multiple packages of care ranging from children with tracheostomies, invasive and non-invasive ventilation to complex epilepsy and enteral feeding.

The post holder should have a wealth of paediatric experience, excellent clinical skills and teaching capabilities with the upmost passion for learning and developing yourself and others.

This will ensure that the children/young people within the CCT receive the highest standard of care in the home and all of the community settings they access.


The post holder will be responsible for coordinating the planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of the individualised education and training required to care for each child/young person under the care of the CCT.

The role will involve working shifts including nights and weekends in addition to office working.


The ability to move and handle children up to 70kg, with two people where required and the ability to wear FFP3 masks during AGP procedures is essential.
