ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a high profile, confident and self-motivated individual who can demonstrate exceptional levels of performance.


This person will report to the Finance Director FP&A and will manage 1 x Management Accountant and 1 x Systems Accountant and 1 x Demand Manager.


KEY ACTIVITIES

  • Lead Business partnering role to CCO, Ostomy.
  • Lead financial planning, decision support and business facing management reporting.
  • Financial planning involves supporting the Long-Range Planning (LRP), Budgets and Forecasts. This means supporting the process and improving the process through system deployment and continuous improvement.
  • Management reporting includes CC management, P&L reporting and QBR preparation.
  • Accounting will produce to Legal Entity Trial Balance level. Ostomy Finance will extract information to produce an Ostomy business plan.
  • Decision support is adhoc in nature and reflects finances responsibility to own financial analysis that supports decision making.
  • Month end and audit responsibilities include accrual management.
  • This role will actively support continuous improvement throughout finance and in the broader organisation.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of a world class financial system which underpins our reporting, forecasting and decision support environment.
  • To facilitate and manage the Ostomy business plan, including budgets, forecasts and LRP.
  • To manage the reporting of Ostomy financials against budget, forecast and LRP.
  • To provide quality financial reports to Ostomy management across all Ostomy sites to aid in decision making.
  • To provide quality commercial analysis around sales revenues, margins, operational expenses and other P&L constituents, by country and at a TA level
  • To design, manage & support relevant business metrics (KPIs) to add visual representations of commercial Ostomy finance data.
  • To support the tendering processes for NHS Sponsorship contracts (including payback modelling), fulfilling all financial information requests.
  • Challenge ways of working, to standardise common tasks and be a champion of CI within the function.
  • Support the month end and year end processes for operations as part of a wider finance team role.
  • Support the wider Finance, HR and IT functions as required.
  • Other project / ad hoc work as necessary.
  • Financial modelling including NPI and any potential M&A

KEY SKILLS
Essential

  • Recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA etc.)
  • Proven operations finance knowledge/skills
  • Effective influencing skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong IT and Excel skills are required.
  • Diligent and able to work efficiently with attention to detail, within required timescales.
  • Proven ability to lead and drive world class processes, compliance, internal controls.

  • Previous experience in large manufacturing enterprises advantageous
