Russell Taylor are looking for a experienced Electrical Estimator in for one of our clients based in Edinburgh


Responsibilities:


  • Review tender documents, specs, and drawings to understand electrical work scope.
  • Create detailed, competitive estimates for projects of different sizes.
  • Collaborate with the team to get accurate pricing and quotes.
  • Evaluate subcontractor/supplier quotes, negotiate terms, and ensure compliance.
  • Work closely with project management on budgets and schedules.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and material costs.
  • Attend tender review meetings and contribute to negotiations.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator, preferably in M&E contracting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and regulations.
  • Ability to price tenders for varied electrical works.
  • Proficiency in estimating software.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Technical qualifications in Electrical Engineering or related field desirable.
