Job Description What your new role will entail**:

The Bid Coordinator will support the Bid Manager to deliver high quality proposals, adhering to AECOM's work winning processes and working collaboratively with stakeholders.

They will be a part of our Environment, Water, and Energy (EWE) business focused on solving challenges around climate change, water scarcity and the energy transition.

The role will support bids ranging in value between over £1m and £20m. The role covers tasks across the full procurement lifecycle including positioning, EOIs, PQQs, ITTs and interviews.


Tasks include:

  • Review RFPs and other related documents and support in gathering proposal information to create winning responses
  • Prepare templates, CVs, case studies and occasionally storyboards; chase content contributors as required
  • Coordinate the preparation of identified expression of interests, prequalification questionnaires and proposals
  • Ensure a winning, compliant, error free document arrives with the client in the correct format, meeting the deadline
  • Break down submitted bids for a library of prewritten proposal content, where required
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations for specific pursuits
  • Identify and share lessons learned as inputs to the continuous improvement of the bidding process and tools
  • Supports the team in ad hoc activities to develop our bidding excellence

Being part of the team:


As part of the EWE Work Winning Team, you will contribute to initiatives to improve the quality of bids across the EWE business through preparation of training materials, knowledge management and upkeep of the bid library, and promoting the use of industry recognised processes.


Qualifications Here's what we will need from you**:

  • Experience of coordinating multi-disciplinary proposals
  • A sound working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A flexible approach to supporting bids and business development activities
  • The ability to work positively under pressure and deliver quality output to deadlines
  • A methodical approach to assisting in the administration and production of bids
  • An eye for detail, not accepting second best and taking personal pride and responsibility for all aspects within their control
  • The ability to work collaboratively with internal clients and to tactfully but effectively chase others for contributions as needed
