Overview:
Energy Resourcing are currently recruiting for an Inspection / Fabrication Coordinator to join their client's Aberdeen projects team on an ongoing contract basis.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for processing all vendor inspection requests promptly
- Coordinate inspection resources by client requirements
- Ensure Review, Witness, and Monitor activities are conducted as per the approved Suppliers / Subcontractors Quality Control Plans / Inspection and Test Plans
- Ensure inspection reports are received, verified, and stored effectively for retention
- Liaise with the vendor to expedite Biweekly fabrication & manufacturing updates
- Maintain and continually update the fabrication tracker
- Provide weekly fabrication updates to key stakeholders
- Distribute weekly fabrication status
- Report slippages/reasons to stakeholders
- Promptly report all matters of Inspection management to the Project Quality manager
- Review fabrication MRB
- Review and approval of Supplier/Subcontractor Quality Control Plans/Inspection and Test Plans and procedures.
- Be fully familiar with the verification and inspection release processes and ensure their compliance.
- Good working knowledge of Industry related EU regulations e.g. ATEX, PED
- Monitor closeout of Supplier / Subcontractor nonconformances.
- Review Supplier / Subcontractor Fabrication / Certification Dossiers.
- To report promptly to the Project Quality Manager all matters related to Project Quality Management System performance.
- Ensure that all necessary quality records are identified and retained by the client, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide input and support for the subcontractor/supplier evaluation processes and monitor subcontractor/supplier performance.
- Provide performance data as requested for reporting purposes.
- Attend Preproduction kickoff meetings with Supplier / Subcontractor.
- To participate (as necessary) in management visits/audits to Suppliers and Subcontractors.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Has Inspection coordination experience.
- Has come from an engineering and/or inspection background.
- Has a broad knowledge of manufacturing, fabrication, and inspection techniques.
- Has knowledge of management systems including ISO 9001:201
- Has a broad Knowledge of Industry related EU regulations e.g. ATEX, PED.
- Good working knowledge of NDT techniques such as Radiography, Ultrasonic, MPI, DPI
- Can review material record books
- A working knowledge in the understanding of BS EN
Metallic Product:
Types of Inspection)
- Good working knowledge of EEMUA 197 (Specification for the fabrication of nonprimary structural steelwork for offshore installations
- Good working knowledge of EEMUA 158 (Construction Specification for fixed offshore structures)
Desirable:
- Held/Holding a similar position with a similar industry.
- Has worked in an EPC environment
- Experience in reviewing construction work packs
- Material certification review by EN 10204
