Position Overview:
As a School Librarian, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience of our students.
You will be responsible for managing our school library, promoting a love for reading, and ensuring that students have access to a wide range of educational resources.
In addition, your IT and computer skills will be vital in maintaining the library's digital resources and supporting students in developing digital literacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize the school library, ensuring it is a welcoming and wellordered space.
- Curate a diverse collection of books, digital resources, and educational materials to meet the needs and interests of students.
- Assist students, teachers, and staff in finding and utilizing library resources.
- Promote a culture of reading and support literacy initiatives within the school.
- Integrate digital resources and technology into library services and programs.
- Teach and assist students in developing research skills and digital literacy.
- Manage library software, cataloging, and recordkeeping.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in library science and educational technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Education, or a related field.
- Previous experience working in a school library or educational setting is preferred.
- Strong IT and computer skills, including experience with library management software.
- Knowledge of library classification systems and organization methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for reading, learning, and promoting a love for literature.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

£85.54-£100.43 per day
