Allianz Technology provides the worldwide family of Allianz companies with in-house services in the fields of IT Infrastructure, Application Platforms and Business Services.


This role sits within the 2nd line team that supports day to day operation of IT Workplace Services to Allianz UK staff and the delivery of Centrally driven, Branch driven and Business driven IT initiatives.


  • Technically supporting the team ensuring their SNOW requests and incidents tickets are resolved in a timely manner, meeting quality standards and defined service level targets.
  • Perform root cause analysis to support continuous improvements in service delivery and customer experience for Workplace related incidents.
  • Ownership of handover from projects to BAU ensuring the correct support and documentation is in place.
  • Drive process improvements.
  • Support onsite activities aligned to the Workplace role including but not limited to IT deskside support, Tape Backup/Restore, IT Hardware maintenance and decommission of IT assets.
  • Support Group, Branch and key Business Project deliverables to enable smooth implementation by providing technical assistance.
  • Support compliance, regulatory and audit requirements as defined in the Allianz Code of Conduct and follow appropriate processes to report known or suspected violations.

Expected Technical Experience:


  • Microsoft Windows o/s (Windows 10) working knowledge of build, configuration and registry settings.
  • Desktop hardware architecture.
  • Active Directory basic administration, Group Policy
  • Appsense (Environment Manager & App Manager, basic policy fault finding expertise)
  • Understanding of virtualisation technology e.g. VMWare
  • Networks experience to include an understanding of LAN/WAN/vLAN and Wi-Fi technologies, DHCP, DNS/WINS, PXE and VPN/remote connectivity.
  • Telephony office based telephony services, VOIP, mobile device configuration, tethering and mobile peripherals.


  • Automation

  • Understanding of scripting technologies such as PowerShell, VB Scripting and batch Files.
  • Security disk encryption using bit locker, removable media encryption using bit locker to go, elevation, NTFS permissions and shared folder security.
  • Computer peripherals including but not limited to printers (including MFD's), display screens, docking stations, port replicators, cameras and scanners.
  • Excellent working Knowledge of Service Now IT Service Management (ITSM) software, especially Requests and Incidents.
