Salary:11.44 ph
:An independent, co-educational preparatory school for boarding and day pupils aged 5 to 13 in Dunbar, East Lothian, Scotland.

Catering for 120 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of breakfast, lunch and supper. There is a some adhoc hospitality through the year. This is a term-time only contract working 39 weeks a year and operates Monday to Friday. Additional benefit of this location is free parking on site.


We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a
Casual Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in
Dunbar.


You'll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.


Key skills:


  • Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Great team player
  • Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
  • Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
  • Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
  • Operate industrial dishwasher

We are looking for:


  • Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
  • Can do attitude.
  • Organisation Skills.

Knowledge / competencies:


  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
  • Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
