Private Practice Medical Secretary
The role is working as one of a team of Private Practice Medical Secretaries and to adhere to the ConsultantCare Values.
You will have to work closely with several clinicians of differing specialties and to support the other Secretaries and their clinicians.
- Preparing consultants' clinics, correspondence and patient records
- Working on patient Electronic Patient Record (EPR Data bases)
- Organising investigations and obtaining results
- Ensuring 100% accuracy for the specialists' transcriptions/patient consultation records (letters)
- Organising patients' requirements and treatment management
For Client Accounts:
- Liaising with patients regarding consultation payments,
- Liaising with insurance companies to ensure authorisation of patient treatments.
- Prompt billing of all invoices to Insurance companies through the EDI/Healthcode system
- Working closely with Finance Team on all invoicing issues.
Progression and Development
- Medical Secretary/Personal Assistant (PA), to be responsible for the total administration of an individual medical specialist. This will depend on one's own ability and development and desire to attain this.

- Increasing the income for your own clinicians and consequently for the business.
The person will need to be:
- Previous Healthcare Experience
- Numerate, highly organised and assertive
- A Team player
- Strong in IT and have good communication skills
- Personable and patient
- Min of 45 GCSEs including Math and English or equivalent
- Driving License is preferable as one may need to travel between hospital sites on occasion.
- Selfmotivated with a proactive approach.
- Flexible and adaptable to change able to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Presentable, personable, punctual and trustworthy.
Details:
Hours: 9.00am - 5.30pm variable. (Friday 4.30pm)
Holidays: 20 days per year running from Jan-Dec
All Statutory Bank Holidays, including between Christmas and New Year
Day off for Birthday

Dependant on experience
Salary:
£25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
