About the role:


We have an exciting opportunity within Care & Repair Monmouthshire and Torfaen for a professional, highly motivated, and enthusiastic Adaptations and Home Maintenance Surveyor to join our team.


You will provide a high-quality technical service which offers options, solutions, and practical assistance to older homeowners on repairing and adapting their own homes.


You will also influence the planned further development of the Agency's existing in-house minor adaptation service, giving support to staff to execute their roles effectively.


We're looking for someone who is customer focused with excellent communication skills and a team player who is able to work flexibly to meet business needs.


You will need a thorough understanding of building construction and Health and Safety practices and have experience of undertaking site visits including identification of building defects.

You will need the ability to use sound judgement when making effective decisions.


You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software and have a relevant qualification e.g., HNC in Building or NEBOSH General or equivalent.

You will have a highly supportive line manager who will be available to you when you need them.
