As our Buyer, you will support and process all purchasing activities for assigned Products and Services from placement of order to delivery.

This is a great opportunity for 18
months to work in a small and supportive team based in Ellon
, we thrive on working in a fast-moving and dynamic environment within a global organisation.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

Ensuring key performance indicators for core operational targets are met
First line of escalation in project critical actions and supplier issues
Internal reporting for the assigned subcontract machining and finished components
Identification of suppliers including supplier development
Placement of Purchase Order's to meet the MRP and project requirements
Recovering back charges from the supplier for either quality costs or late deliveries

To succeed in this role, you will need:

HNC/Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering desirable
Relevant experience within related industry ideally Oil and Gas
Ability to travel to support with auditing of new or current vendors
Target driven with a focus on results.
Excellent communication skills, including the art of negotiation, persuasion, and influence
Supplier management experience
Able to work both autonomously and team working
Methodical, meticulous, and proactive in all work tasks
Strong project financial skills
