Staffroom Education are looking for a
School Administratorto start work in a
secondary schoolin
Newport. This role will be
full-time and will begin
ASAP.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:
- Undertaking reception duties, answering general telephone and face-to-face enquiries and signing in visitors
- Assisting with student first aid/welfare duties, looking after sick students, liaising with parents/staff etc
- Assisting with arrangements for school trips, events, etc
- Providing general clerical/administrative support, e.g. photocopying, filing, completion of forms, respond to routine correspondence
- Operating relevant equipment/ICT packages (e.g. Word, Excel, databases, spreadsheets)
Role Requirements:
- Previous experience in clerical, administrative, or financial work
- Ability to effectively use ICT packages, including spreadsheets
- Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to relate well to children and adults
