facilities provided based in
North London, in their search for
Drivers/Porters.
As a driver/porter, you will provide both driver and porter services across the two sites.

Key Responsibilities

To carry out residents transportation service to and from various locations within company sites and other external trips and events.
To carry out staff transportation service from designated Train Station(s) to service homes and as may be required.
To carry a variety of goods, stores, furniture and equipment to and from various locations.
To assist with the setting up of various rooms for the events that take place.
To distribute newspapers and magazines to the residents.
Undertaking mínimal cleaning and tidyup duties as may be required.
Removal of clinical, domestic and other wastes.
Distribution of disposables (drinking cups, paper towels & dishwasher chemicals etc.) to the residential and nursing units and issuing of other stores when required.
Assist with stock control and deliveries of clinical equipment and disposables to households.
To act as a Fire Warden and undertake the range of duties associated with this role.
To act as Security Officer when required and to undertake the range of duties associated with this role.
To assist with the movement of the bodies of deceased residents as and when necessary.
To complete periodic checks of various systems (including water temperatures, alarm systems, torches, generators, door checks, etc.).
To attend internal and external training courses as may be required by the company and in line with the job requirements.
To undertake any other additional duties within the competence of the post holder, as may be required from time to time.

Personal Specification

DVLA clean Licence, D1 and MIDAS
Experience of driving a minibus driving or taxi and portering duties.
Ability to effectively communicate and work with a wide range of people including older people (Residents) and their relatives.
Ability to effectively communicate and work with a range of colleagues. Experience working in a team environment
Ability to work in a calm and collected manner whilst under the pressure of competing demands.
Ability to work a rostered shift system, including evening and weekend work.
Physically fit in order to undertake heavy lifting and assistance with the movement of people and goods.
