NaCTSO Programme Delivery Support Officer - Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP)


Salary:
£28,511 to £30,504 plus a Location allowance of £1,721. You will receive £28,511 the band minimum. Progress to the band maximum of £30,504 will be via incremental progression.

Empress State Building - This role will be London based, however due to the nature of the role the resource will be expected to work flexibly and remotely at times.



Developing critical guidance. Sharing information. Protecting the UK. As a Programme Delivery Manager for the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO), you'll deliver a range of projects to help keep the country safe.

Joining the Programme Delivery Unit (PDU) within national Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) HQ, you'll produce products, policy and guidance for CTP, government departments and the private sector. This material could prove crucial in the face of terrorist threats, providing advice on protective security and helping recipients stay prepared.


In many ways you'll be the hub of your specialist team, coordinating administration and the delivery of these enhanced protective and preparedness projects.

You'll liaise with colleagues across NaCTSO, the regional CT network, government and industry, dealing with everything from budgets to training and events for partners.

You'll also work with external organisations, organising quotes and purchase orders for any outside business services that are required.

When projects in new areas come up, you'll provide support by identifying the impact on NaCTSO and negotiating the requirements.

Day to day, you'll be taking minutes, responding to enquiries and performing a range of office duties. That calls for administrative experience along with great interpersonal skills. We're also looking for knowledge of the Met Police and CTP, plus strong IT skills. Organised and team-focused, you'll be prepared to travel when necessary.

Job Summary


The post holder will work within a specialist team within NCTPHQ (NaCTSO), supporting the team developing protective security and CT preparedness products, policy and guidance for CT policing, Lead Government Departments and the Private Sector.

The role includes liaison with the AMSU team, teams within the Programme Delivery Unit, wider NaCTSO units and Senior Leadership Team, regional CT network, government and industry across the UK.

There is responsibility for co-ordinating/arranging meetings, taking meeting minutes and generally supporting the team with their day-to-day administrative requirements.

The post will also support functions of the National Coordinator Protect and Prepare (NCPP) as and when required, which is part of the National Counter Terrorism Policing Headquarters (NCTPHQ).


  • To coordinate administration, performance, products, training and events for the Programme Delivery Unit (PDU) within NaCTSO for CT Policing, Lead Government and private sector partners where required.
  • To coordinate administration functions in support of delivery of protective security and CT Preparedness for core work streams.
  • To act as point of contact for PDU with NCTPHQ section leads (Finance, Resources and HR) in support of budgets, resources and HR requirements on behalf of the department, ensuring efficient and cost effective funding and staffing of the unit.
  • To act as point of contact for PDU with Centre for Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI), to assist new joiners and represent NaCTSO at various meetings as required.
  • To act as point of contact for PDU with external organisations by meeting them, agreeing NaCTSO requirements, obtaining quotes and producing purchase orders to ensure efficient and costeffective delivery of business services for the department.
  • To support projects in new areas of business, identifying impacts on NaCTSO, negotiating departmental requirements and briefing unit on changes to ensure efficient and effective transition.

Key Tasks
The post holder will be required to do the following:

  • Arrange meetings and take minutes where required
  • Provide a range of supporting tasks to aid delivery of projects as required by members of the Programme Delivery Unit
  • Deal with telephone enquiries across the unit
  • Manage record keeping and handling of sensitive material
  • Acting as meeting secretary for the team
  • Manage and update contact lists across the unit, maintaining CTSA contact and distribution lists, monitoring and updating changes (with version control) and circulating to the unit and SMT, for efficient and effective communication
  • Carry out NaCTSO general office responsibilities as required
  • Manage catering requirements for meetings and courses where
