TE Connectivity's Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow.

They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures.

Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Job Scope - To contribute to the manufacture of connectors and cable harnesses in accordance with the company Health & Safety and Quality standards


Key Responsibilities:


  • To observe and operate in accordance with Heath and Safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and Government legislation to ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees, workers and visitors
  • Implement a customer focussed operational culture
  • Soldering and wiring of cable harness assemblies and connectors.
  • Moulding (Rubber Mould or Polyurethane) of cable assemblies and connectors
  • Work within the team performing the various stages of production as defined by the Tyco Electronics Operating Advantage (Lean Manufacturing), Quality, Safety, Company Procedures and Industry Standards.
  • To ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with the appropriate company procedures.

  • Achieve the required standard times, to achieve departmental efficiency target.
  • To have the ability to handle various tasks simultaneously and be able to adapt to changing priorities and urgencies as they arise.
  • To operate machines and carry out all other activities in a safe and responsible manner and maintain a clean and tidy environment within the department.
  • Work to a manufacturing schedule and notify supervision promptly of any issues that may affect the completion of the schedule.
  • Report any deviations to supervision and assist in resolving noncompliances where necessary.
  • Prepare and complete all documentation accurately, legibly and in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, procedures and quality within the department.
  • To participate in training programs which are relevant to the role and your personal development.
  • To achieve tasks within the set time in order to meet departmental targets.
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks as directed by the business from time to time.

Essential Knowledge:


  • Ability to read and follow engineering assembly drawings, work instructions and quality standards.
  • Experience of working within an ISO9001 Quality Management System environment.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills, basic IT skills.
  • A flexible approach and a willingness to learn new skills.

Desirable Skills:


  • Experience of working in a electrical/moulding Production environment
  • Advanced soldering experience
  • Electrical testing experience
  • Moulding experience
  • IPC620A certified
