Job Brief
You will be visiting people in the comfort of their own homes in the Morecambe community.

You will be supporting a range of people all with different homes and personalities with varying needs over the age of 65.

You will support service users in many different ways to prevent unnecessary hospital and care home admissions. Some visits will be lone working, some visits will be colleague accompanied.

Tasks are variable; including medication administration, medication ordering, emotional support, personal care, washing/bathing, preparing or supporting to eat meals, liaising with GP's/ pharmacies/ nurses/families and other professionals, providing dementia care, Parkinson's care, end of life care and most importantly bringing a smile to your service users face.

What is the position?


We like applicants to know exactly what the position is before getting the job and getting a nasty surprise with a rota you are not comfortable with.

At MoralCare, you are scheduled the same shift schedule every 2 weeks, so you know when you are working and when you are not.

Requirements:


  • An enhanced DBS check (funded by us)

Wages
- £11.05 per hour (includes travelling time)

  • 25p per mile to cover petrol costs. We will also help you claim an additional 25p per mile from HMRC each tax year Our rate covers petrol cost for most standard cars the additional 20p per mile from HMRC covers you for any wear and tear on your vehicle. (This usually gets our team on a nice low tax rate or even better, a juicy annual cheque from HMRC)

Travel


All of our service users are all based in Morecambe - though we plan to expand further a field in the distant future.

All home visits are scheduled as close to each other as possible, 2 miles is our average distance between jobs.

We have an app that calculates your mileage between jobs accurately. You haven't got to worry about clock watching or mileage submission.
