Description

I am an ambitious, fun-loving, enthusiastic graduate embarking on the first year of the Civil Service Fast Stream in September 2024.

Cerebral Palsy has provided me with a unique perspective of the world we inhabit, and it is through my eight years of both national and international public speaking pursuits, and volunteering activism work why I am committed to a career in seeking social change via public service.

Despite the obvious physical hurdles that Cerebral Palsy brings, I am a double award winning, first-class post-graduate who requires the professional and personal support to achieve my career aspirations within policies, politics, and public service.

The role will entail accompanying me to the workplace to enable this to become a reality.

Due to also being diagnosed with severe Dyslexia you will be required to accompany me to meetings, acting as my notetaker, reader, and scribe.

Additionally, you will be required to support me being accountable for time management and deadlines. Although you don't have to be a 'tutor' it would be beneficial if you have experience or the mindset of tutoring/mentoring with written, work-related documents (e.g. tutoring University students).

You will be acting as a representative for my professional career; therefore, you will have to abide by both mine and the Civil Services code of conduct and expectations.

To overcome the physical hurdles aforementioned, I am able to walk with assistance and use a small, manual wheelchair for longer exertions.

It is hoped that my Fast Stream journey will be undertaken in a part time/flexible hours capacity, enabling the pursuit of other passions.

Therefor this role at times may possess a more 'Personal PA' element, including but not limited to; escorting me to training sessions for elite throw, the gym or appointments, socialising with friends or of course) catching up with office work from my shared home located in London.

This unique and exciting opportunity enables you to gain first-hand experience and insights into life in the Civil Service and the governance of the UK.

Despite this, the premise of this position is to facilitate me in participating on the Fast Stream. Therefore, my employment and career progression must always be at the forefront of your work.

Although you will be employed by myself, this role will require Civil Service Security Clearance to the level required by Fast Stream.
