Help Desk Support - London, United Kingdom - GPL Technologies
Description
THE ROLE**We are in search of a Help Desk Support person to work directly with one of our clients, a top television streaming network with original production films and television series.
THE CANDIDATE
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide frontline phone support to clients via remote assistance and when required, go onsite to resolve issues.
- Triage client issues and rapidly resolve or escalate to Senior Production Technology Engineers.
- Accountable for customer satisfaction of delivery of services, responses to request, and escalation management.
- Clearly document actions taken in out ticketing system.
- Communicate with departmental teams about their IT needs, and answer questions
- Occasional requirement to perform after hours and/or weekend support.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Previous experience working in a help desk engineer, technician or support role
- Strong working knowledge of MAC and PC support
- Ability to handle multiple issues, prioritizing and effective management of your time
- Understanding for virtual desktop environment and remote desktop technology
- Excellent knowledge and experience with MAC and PC operating systems, along with mobile devices and other peripheral equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
DESIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- Previous experience working in media and entermaint including film production or animation/VFX
- Strong problemsolving skills
- Attention to detail, curiosity, and a desire to learn
- Ability to communicate highly technical information to a variety of people, in both verbal and written form
