An Ofsted rated

'Good' Secondary School in Ashington is looking for a History Teacger to join their smaller than usual school. The school prides itself on being a nurturing environment and having a holistic approach to education and pastoral care.

The main duties will include:

Planning, teaching and assessing the History curriculum
Be confident teaching KS3 and KS4 History
Select and requisition appropriate books, instructional aids and school supplies as needed
Following the school behaviour management policy effectively
Promoting independence
Providing an outstanding level of safeguarding and pastoral care
Be responsible for the attainment of pupils
Be responsible for individualised learning plans for pupils with SEND and SEMH
Hold Qualified Teaching Status
ECT's are welcome
Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with ourselves)
A full checkable work history
In addition to that, we are currently offering £100 for the successful referral of either Teachers or Teaching Assistants._
