Role
Climate17 are working closely with a fully integrated renewable energy business that build, own and operate a mixed portfolio of solar, battery and wind assets across the UK.
They are actively searching to hire two Asset Managers to manage a number of solar assets / SPVs by ensuring best practice for HSEQ performance, whilst enhancing the overall returns and value of each project and complying with all of the applicable contractualagreements.
Responsibilities
- Management of the contracts of the SPVs
- Ensure that all assets are in compliance with statutory requirements for Health, Safety and Environmental performance, local planning authority requirements, Grid company connection conditions and power purchase agreements,
- Optimise project performance:
- Monitor contractor performance during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance with a view to ensuring all contracted SLA's are met or bettered,
- Review and enhance maintenance strategies and activities with a view to reducing down time,
- Direct supervision of subcontractors where required,
- Identify and establish the necessary KPIs to monitor the performance of each asset.
- Identify equipment faults, carry out diagnoses and troubleshooting activities.
- Manage the project operational budgets by:
- Monitoring spend to budget,
- Planning spend for activities on each project for approval by the investment team.
- Prepare regular asset management reports on each asset.
- Maintain and develop management tools including: Operating Plans, Asset Registers and other management tools as necessary.
- Be the primary Ofgem contact person for the managed assets.
- Maintain data security/GDPR compliance.
- Provide information to the Commercial and Investments teams.
- Liaise with the Finance and Legal Teams and Investment Managers, particularly at handover.
- Provide information to and request information from the Engineering Team as needed.
- Liaise with O&M Contractors regarding contractual enforcement.
- Attend regular meetings with various company departments.
Requirements:
- Engineering degree or equivalent
- 13 years' experience in solar farm asset management activities.
- Experience with remote monitoring systems on plant and equipment (preferably Solar)
- Contract management
- Budget management
- Interpretation of mechanical/electrical engineering drawings, work instructions and design reviews
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Full UK driver's license
