We're seeking a Contracting Officer in a Hybrid role, based in any of our global offices, to sit within the newly established Procurement, Purchasing and Contracting Unit.

The Unit owns the contract management system and is responsible for procurements support to Open Society, contract processing, user support, managing purchases not requiring attorney involvement, and escalating complex contracts to the OGC.

The Contracting Officer is an individual contributor in transaction processing, compliance checks, learning, and contract system management.

As a Contracting Officer you will:

  • Review contract requests for compliance, and draft contracts and purchasing documents based on established templates under mínimal supervision.
  • Develop and manage contracting and purchasing document templates, working with GF colleagues and the Office of the General Counsel.
  • Administer contracts, expense payment letters and other transactions through Contract Access or other contract or purchasing systems, and provide user support.
  • Provide learning support to OSF colleagues in all roles participating in the contracting and purchasing process.
  • Assure integrity of data in the contracting system, and generate complex reports to track workflows, help analyse processes and support business decisions.
  • May require significant systems or learning responsibilities.

We are looking for:

  • 57 years of experience with softwaresupported contract lifecycle management, purchasing and procurement. High level of attention to detail, and organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and proactive problem solving skills. Experience working with multiple clients to resolve complex problems, and interacting with high needs clients. Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM platform and relational database concepts, including reporting Individual contributor and collaborator, work within a globally distributed team. In New York City the salary range for this role is $64,700 - $113,200 plus benefits**.

The final offer is influenced by a range of factors including, but not limited to, skill set and level of experience.
