We are looking for a Team leader who will lead the team at a residential care home for the elderly to ensure the smooth running of the service complies with relevant regulations and procedures.

We are looking for a full-time Team leader to work as per the rota 36 hours per week including every other weekend.

We are interested in staff who will go the extra mile to put smiles on residents' faces.

  • Shifts include 8am2pm and 2pm 8pm or 8am to 8pm and every other weekend.
  • To build good working relationships within the team.
  • Work on the floor and lead a team of around 2 or 3 staff and be a role model to your team.
  • Experience of medication administration.
  • Experience of ordering, and receiving medications into the care home.
  • Share of oncall responsibilities as part of the Team leader's role
  • Be part of the management team to ensure continuity of information, standards and policies are effectively implemented.
  • Communicating clearly and effectively with the staff team, families and other professionals to ensure that the residents receive the best possible provision of care
  • Ensuring that staff receive regular supervision and adhere to the policies and procedures.
  • Monitoring resident's individual care plans to ensure that the key workers have identified the physical, social and emotional needs of a person
  • Welcoming new residents the home and complete initial observations.
  • You will need to be computer literature
  • Completion of monthly audits
  • Position will require an enhanced DBS check
  • Monthly reviews of care plans and risk assessments
  • Undertake back to work interviews and supervisions

Applicant Criteria:

  • Minimum 2 years as a Senior Carer is essential
  • NVQ Level 3/Diploma in Adult Workforce Level
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Commitment to own professional and personal development
