Response Surveyor - Level 2

Selwood Housing

£42,000 per annum

Full time (40hrs) Permanent

Flexible working opportunities

Based in Trowbridge / Melksham and working throughout Wiltshire and surrounding areas.

The role

The purpose of this role is to ensure our properties are maintained to the highest standard via delivery of our responsive repairs service.

We are seeking a motivated response repairs surveyor with the ability to:

Diagnose building defects and identify suitable cost-effective remedies.
Undertake property related inspections and produce written reports
Communicate well with our customers to keep them informed of progress of the repair.
Produce specifications and procure small building works and mange through to completion

What we need
For this role you'll need to have the following skills and experience;

HND in construction or building surveying. And/or relevant experience
Experience in diagnosing building defects
Experience of maintenance management and/or construction.
Knowledge of managing contracts within budgetary constraints management.
Knowledge and experience of Health and safety legislation and its practical implementation Including CDM regulations
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to resolve issues and complaints for our customers.

A basic DBS check will be required for this role.
