Delivery Driver/Warehouse Operative


Main purpose of job:
Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles. Transporting deliveries by company vehicle. When not delivering, you will be assisting in the warehouse.

Responsible to:
Warehouse Manager

We are looking for a Driver/ Warehouse Operative to support our distribution function from our warehouse based in Thatcham. Our Warehouse Team play an integral role in our operation. The hours generally are 8.30 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday.

In addition to having a full, clean UK driver's license, you will need to be able to move large/bulky boxes in a safe manner, and have a personable nature when dealing with customers.

You will also need to have great attention to detail to enable accurate picking, checking and packing of orders.


Main tasks of job:

1) Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.

2) Carry out vehicle checks and reporting issues. Ensuring vehicle is clean and tidy.

3) Loading trucks in a manner that allows unloading in a logístical manner.

4) Order picking, checking, wrapping, packing, labelling, shipping and receiving.

5) Operating handling equipment, pallet trucks, sack and other trolleys.

6) Using other appropriate machinery where required, eg pallet wrapper, in line with the safe operation of machinery

7) Ensure working correct PPE at all times and observing all Health and Safety rules

8) Completing daily logs.

9) Responsible for quality control to ensure that no damaged product is sent out.

10) Cleaning and maintaining work areas.

11) Liaising with Staff and Managers to ensure the above tasks are completed efficiently.

12) Attend all training provided.

13) Engage in team meetings.
