Alumni Relations and Events Manager

Venn Group have recently partnered with a renowned education institution in Cambridgeshire, to source a proactive, personable and engaging events specialist for the following interim assignment:


Location:


  • Cambridgeshire (onsite working)

Contract:


  • Three months +

Hours:
37.5 hours p/week


Rate:

- £16.35 per hour + holiday pay


The main duties of this role will include:

  • Acting as the main interface with the Bursar, President, Conference and Catering, and the Master's Office, ensuring outstanding communication and liaison, and timely briefing of all staff involved in events
  • Advertising, marketing and communicating the events programme to alumni and the wider community through invitations, website notifications and news broadcasting, liaising with the Head of Communications as necessary
  • Interacting with, involving and building productive relationships with the whole college community, with particular consideration for student involvement in the alumni events programme
  • Developing relations with students, adding value to their time with the organisation and raising awareness and interest in the value of College's alumni relations once they graduate
  • Alumni interactions with the student societies and other groups such as the Boat Club, Law, Medicine, and Engineering developing their relationships with alumni and adding value to the organisation's cultural and interdisciplinary life
  • Ensuring that volunteers, including Fellows, are engaged in support of the programme of events and alumni relation activities
  • Exemplary communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrable experience creating content for internal use
  • Raiser's Edge experience (desirable)
