It's an exciting time for #TeamAyrshire as we prepare to take on a brand-new housing support service, so, we have various full-time and part-time permanent roles available.

We also have relief opportunities too if you're looking for something a bit more flexible.


The Role


Our new service involves supporting a lady with learning disabilities and a sensory impairment who is transitioning from a long stay in hospital into her new home.

You'll assist with all aspects of daily living, including cooking, housework, shopping, medication, personal care and finances.


We are looking for individuals that are patient and understanding, you will be dedicated to forming a great relationship with this lady and the rest of the team to ensure that her transition is as seamless as it can be.

With your support, this lady will be able to maintain her own home and get back to enjoying her local community.

You'll also support and encourage with any of her hobbies and interests too.


About you

We'll pay you for your training and will even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too
**What we need you to bring: - **- A caring attitude and approach

  • Good at communication skills
  • An understanding of the important of following guidelines and routines
  • A positive approach to learning
  • Confidence in the use of computers
  • The ability to cook

Shift Patterns


As we're dedicated to providing around the clock support tailored to the needs of each individual, shift patterns will involve working the next day (includes a sleepover).

Weekends and public holidays will also form part of your rota on a rotational basis.

Our sleepovers do not form part of your contracted hours, you will receive an additional
£87 payment for each sleepover that you work


If you're successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
