    Job Description

    We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated legal professional to join our UK legal team as a Commercial General Counsel.

    About the Role

    This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you will collaborate with business stakeholders across various industries, including industrial gas production, healthcare supply, offshore energy, and renewable energy.

    You will be responsible for providing commercial advice and support to business lines, enabling them to achieve their ESG commitments and ambitions.

    • Work closely with the General Counsel and collaborate with teams across business lines in the UK, with some exposure to other European jurisdictions.
    • Provide commercial contract negotiations and advise on risk management.
    • Contribute to wider business topics, such as real estate, employee relations, and regulatory compliance.
    • Lead by example and implement training, policies, and guidelines across the business as a custodian of the compliance and ethics programme.

    Your Skills and Experience

    To succeed in this role, you will need:

    • Relevant experience of between 2-5 years post qualification working in practice and/or an in-house environment within an industrial, engineering, manufacturing or similar environment.
    • Proven experience in reviewing and drafting a wide range of legal documents, including NDAs and complex supply/purchase contracts.
    • A good understanding of evolving regulations relevant to the business, including safety, environment, data privacy, and ESG.
    • Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex legal points in clear and concise language.
    • A commercial mindset with attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
