Between £29,000 and £30,000 per annum


Here at Serco, we are looking for an ER Advisor to join the team and provide ER guidance, covering all aspects of the employee life cycle and People Management processes in line with service level agreements and business rules.


As ER Advisor you will be the first point of contact for customers ensuring all employee relations inquiries are processed with high levels of service excellence to all levels within the organisation.


You will be required to capture and track all requests & advice provided in the internal case management tool and manage re-assignment of queries to the Case Managers as required.


Your Main responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end and timely closure of employee relations cases (disciplinary, performance, absence, grievance, absence management etc.)
Work with sensitive data in line with data protection legislation.
Contact customers to assist in resolution of queries or an employee life cycle event.
Use defined procedures, knowledge base and policies when providing service to the employee/partner. Follow through on commitments and take responsibility to achieve results.

Proactively reassign complex and problematic cases to the ER / Absence Case Managers to ensure rapid resolution or escalate required issues to the management team.

Utilise all available knowledge sources, procedures, and tools available to maintain a level of professionalism.


What you'll need to do the role:
Worked as a HR Advisor, ER Advisor or similar within a HR Share Service environment
A customer-orientated approach, committed to achieving excellent levels of customer service.
Have excellent communication skills, be flexible and friendly, with a high level of self-motivation & initiative
Experience of working to KPIs and targets
Proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
CIPD is desirable but not essential
