**QA Web Tester - Manual / Automation testing

Nottinghamshire - flexible working hours & hybrid*up to £40,000**Based just to the north of Nottingham you will be joining one of the largest web development companies in the Midlands that utilise the latest technologies to build and service professional, real world marketing and web solutions.

They have a large crossfunctional client delivery team that include Developers, Designers, Dev Ops Specialists, Account Managers amongst others.

Role:


In this role, you'll be joining their existing Testing team working alongside Front and Backend developers, Product owners and clients to help identify / analyse bugs and performance issues with existing large scale ecommerce websites.

Your responsibilities will include performing functional testing across their client websites.

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Frontend and Backend developers to quality assure new functionality and iterative improvement
  • Help develop and document requirements as User Stories
  • Help educate and advocate for testing best practices and overall product quality
  • Participate in documentation reviews
  • Coordinate with multiple teams to understand requirements and get issues addressed
  • Look at the product holistically and rigorously test the UI to find inconsistencies and issues that are difficult to test automatically.
  • Manually test releases against a range of devices / browsers, reporting any defects found

Skills & Experience:


  • Experience with manual testing of websites across multiple browsers and devices
  • Experience with raising Bugs and producing tests reports with all needed replication steps and associated imagery
  • Experience documenting technical requirements as User Stories
  • Attention to detail and organisation
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Courage to champion the user perspective and the quality of the project
  • Strong analytical skills which allow you to anticipate a wide range of use cases and user actions
  • An approach to QA which is highly detailoriented and usercentric
  • Excellent communication skills that enable you to collaborate with a varied product team and to form excellent working relationships
  • Strong organisational skills which allow you to prioritise well and manage multiple projects at once

Desirable skills:

- .NET Core / C# knowledge

  • Experience with regression testing reporting suite e.g. Jira
  • Experience with representing the testing function in project planning meetings
  • Automation experience with any modern framework
  • Jester, Cypress, Playwright,
- , Webdriver.iO

  • Knowledge of Git and version control systems (Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket)
  • Knowledge of Gitlab pipelines or similar job automation software
