Description
An aviation company in Braintree are seeking a skilled toolmaker to join their team. As a toolmaker, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a variety of tools and fixtures. You will work closely with the welders and engineers to ensure everything is accurate, efficient, and reliable.


Duties include:


  • Designing and building new tools and fixtures according to specifications
  • Maintaining and repairing existing tools and fixtures
  • Conducting tooling inspections and making necessary adjustments
  • Operating and maintaining various machine tools and equipment
  • Ensuring that all tools are built to the highest quality standards and meet all safety requirements
  • Documenting tooling changes and updates

Skills and experience needed:


  • Strong knowledge of toolmaking principles and techniques
  • Proficiency in operating machine equipment such as lathes, milling machines or grinders
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Anyone with experience within the aircraft or aviation industry would be of extreme interest
