JOB TITLE:
Tech and Data Assistant
CONTRACT:
Temporary fixed term contract (ideally starting in early August 2023) until end of current financial year , with possibility of extension if funding allows.
HOURS: 5 hours per week.
WORKING TIMES:
Flexible (during normal office hours Monday-Thursday).
PAY RATE:
£ £13.773 per hour depending on experience (£22,370- £25,783 pro rata)
LOCATION:
Main Office in The Well Community Centre (E6 6DQ).
WORKING WITH:
All BDCA staff to make sure they have the tech tools they need and that our impact data is being accurately recorded and reported.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical administration:
- Being the main point of contact for our external tech support team (Principal) if any staff are having tech trouble and need support to resolve.
- Placing orders for new staff laptops and mobiles as required.
- Working with our Senior Duty Manager to set up new staff laptops (Principal to train you first) including setting up access to the printers.
- Working with our Facilities Manager to ensure new starters are set up on the scanner and given printing codes.
- Give new starters a tour of the Sharepoint and go through our 'tech tricks' training videos and answer any questions they have about how to use our company tech systems.
- Set up and load relevant apps onto new staff mobiles.
- Maintain a spreadsheet of staff and trustee contact details
- Carrying out the card payment machine compliance admin which is due annually.
- Ensuring the card reader machines and tablets are working properly so can accept donations from the public.
Upshot impact monitoring database administration
- Cleaning up duplicate entries on the database merging duplicates into one single user profile.
- Organising each project's listed activities so they are in a clear order.
- Following up with staff any overdue registers.
- Anonymizing people who have now disengaged (or deceased).
- Helping to train staff/ volunteers in how to use Upshot properly.
- Training staff in how to run accurate monitoring reports.
- Reminding staff and checking that volunteers are being recorded and all new attendees are completing a registration form on their first visit.
- Making sure that staff have easy access to enough printed copies of new user registration forms in each venue.
- Creating upshot accounts for new staff and volunteers
General duties:
- Attending and actively contributing to BDCA's monthly staff meetings.
- Attending monthly 121 support and supervision meetings with your line manager.
- Working with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that our data processing activities fully comply with BDCA's policies and procedures, including: safeguarding; data protection; privacy; and equality, diversity and inclusion.

Salary:
£11.95-£13.77 per hour
