What you'll do


As an Associate Director, you will devise and execute formulation strategies, lead the review, approval and interpretation of data, develop and optimize assays and formulation combinations, identify gaps in internal formulation technological capabilities, foster interdisciplinary teamwork, ensure work is performed in accordance with appropriate Safety, Health & Environment (SHE), quality and compliance standards, perform other duties in line with the role, and manage and mentor a team of scientists.


Essential for the role

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.
D.) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or other relevant fields.

  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in biophysical characterization of large molecules and related techniques.
  • Substantial experience with assay design, optimization, and validation of stability assessments from colloidal and confirmational stability with respect to large molecules.
  • Hands on experience with relevant instruments such as Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), sizeexclusion/hydrophobic interaction/ion exchange chromatography HPLC, cIEF, ceSDS, SEC-MALS, nephelometry, UV/Vis spectroscopy, and LCMS.
  • Indepth knowledge of the drug R&D process and demonstration of characterization related activities to achieve project milestones.
  • Track record of effective line management and talent development.
  • Track record of scientific innovation as evidenced by scientific publications, patents, and oral presentations at conferences.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, teamworking and timemanagement skills.
  • Beneficial to have high throughput experience with formulation screening
  • Beneficial to have the deep knowledge of ADC conjugation chemistries (mAbs, linkers and payloads) and a broad range of analytical methods related to characterization.
