We are seeking a dynamic, process-oriented individual, with a keen interest in fine wine, to join us in an exciting new role of Authentication Manager at Liv-ex

Role Purpose

Role Responsibilities
Your responsibilities within this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting and co-ordinating internal authentication meetings, ensuring actions are delivered within specified timeframes
  • Conducting and coordinating Livex led external stakeholder meetings, ensuring actions are delivered within specified timeframes
  • Closing any internally raised requests on 'suspect' wines. This may include liaising with producers and delivering/returning wines to and from third parties
  • Creating product profiles and ensuring these are uploaded to the relevant systems
  • Monitoring business risk level parameters and propose changes where required
  • Working closely with the sales team on pretrade verification and providing ongoing training regarding industry updates and verification techniques
  • Compiling reports on fraudulent wines and ensuring these are circulated to relevant stakeholders
  • Liaising with industry experts, producers and other members on counterfeiting initiatives used and circulate accordingly
  • Working closely with the warehouse verification lead on ensuring correct training is provided to the warehouse teams
  • Visiting Livex's warehouses to provide training as required
  • Coordinating and reporting on visits to Livex sites with industry experts and external verification consultants

Person Specification:


  • Strong stakeholder management capability and excellent customer service skills. Able to build professional and effective working relationships with a wide variety of people internally and externally. A track record of coordinating resources from multipledepartments to achieve problem resolution
  • Project and case management skills, the ability to prioritise and handle multiple cases simultaneously and a completer finisher mentality
  • Good investigative and analytical skills and an exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven reporting capability, including presenting back to various stakeholders on findings and outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal in English. French language capability advantageous.

  • A genuine interest in wine. WSET qualification (or similar) desirable
