ROLE:
SENIOR WAREHOUSE CONSULTANT

As a result of our ongoing growth, we are looking to expand our team by appointing a specialist Warehouse Solutions & Change-Focused Consultant.

Who we are after:

We are looking for specialists who are experienced at designing and implementing world-class warehouse solutions.

This will cover all aspects of the process from the start where you will work to understand our client's needs, challenges & objectives, through to planning and delivering change to tight timescales and budgets.

This will include (amongst a wide variety of tasks):

• Reviewing and assessing client warehouse operations in terms of space, layout, operating equipment and people management to identify ways to drive greater utilisation & efficiency.
• Developing data and process sets that demonstrate you understand our client's challenges.
• Using data analysis and interrogation to identify key challenges and opportunities within client operations.
• Reviewing client KPIs and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement within warehousing operations.
• Using data and information available to design great warehouse solutions that fully meet our client's needs.
• Developing roadmaps and implementation plans to take conceptual design through to delivered solutions.
• Creating accurate cost forecasts, OpEx budgets, change programmes and CapEx equipment plans for a variety of warehouse solution types.
• Reviewing client operational performance and identifying improvements to working practices, processes and systems that add value to their supply chains.
• Project managing solutions & implementations from start to finish.

As a true warehouse solutions expert, you will have a great understanding of some or all of:

• Warehouse operational management.
• Warehouse Process analysis and optimisation.
• Warehouse automation trends and solutions present in the market.
• The IT solutions landscape present that support warehouse operations and broader business operations (ERP / WMS / TMS / R&S/ F&R / IBP).
• The digital operating landscape and how it is impacting warehouse fulfilment operations.
• Inventory optimisation processes.
• Warehouse change management, including implementation of new processes, opening (& closing) warehouse operations, Warehouse migrations and Operator (3PL) change.

Essential skills:

• Credible and demonstrable operational warehouse management experience (managing people and processes).
• Confident in your own abilities; able to instil confidence from our clients in your ability to add value to their solutions.
• Strong experience of using highlevel MS Excel analysis techniques.
• Ability to think outside the box and be creative when faced with client challenges.
• Able to clearly present your findings in a concise and impactful way using a mix of written, presentation and facetoface reporting techniques.
• Able to manage projects, time and relationships to ensure smooth project delivery to high standards.
• Able to work at pace, and in demanding circumstances with extremely tight deadlines.
• Clear understanding of the differing challenges in warehouse solution between omnichannel, efulfilment, retail, wholesale and industrial warehouse operations.

Nice to have experience:

• Experience in the development and / or delivery of supply chain strategy.
• CAD design skills.
• Knowledgeable of the ERP market sector.
• Knowledge of the UK 3PL logistics market solution provider landscape.
• Value-Stream mapping

Your background
You will be able to demonstrate a minimum of 8 years of experience, gained in one or more of:

• Warehouse management in an in-house or third-party operating environment.
• Warehouse solution design and / or business development in the logistics sector.
• Automation and / or manual solution design within an equipment OEM, 3pl or inhouse warehouse solution.
• The delivery of warehouse, logistics or supply chain consultancy design & optimisation projects.
• The delivery of change management programmes in warehousing, logistics and supply chain.
