Location:
Hertfordshire

Package:
£55,000 - £65,000 + benefits: Car Allowance / Company car, 25 days holiday, pension and healthcare (40 hours).
My client, a leader in Highway Construction and Highway Maintenance are currently seeking an Estimator to join them on a permanent basis at their site in Hertfordshire

As the Estimator you'll be providing technical support to the Senior Estimator in the preparation of competitive tenders, in addition to pricing own works in first principles to produce a true nett cost of a defined scheme.

You'll be responsible for managing Tenders from PQQ (pre-qualification questionnaire) stage, filtering out suppliers who are not suitable to provide the service, through to handing over to the operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Logging Tenders in / out of Tender system
Take off ability using adobe Pro or CAD
Estimating from 1st principles
(this is a neccessity):
Material Buying
Quality Bid input
Completing Financial tender documents and tender submission / delivery arrangements
Subcontracting enquiries and assessment

Experience & Qualifications required:

Experience in understanding detailed scheme methodologies.
Highways experience would be ideal, may consider applicants from Construction industry
Experience using Causeway or similar Estimating software (
ESSENTIAL as they do not use Ecxcel for estimations)
