Description

Fire and Security Alarm Supervisor (Midlands)

Overview

Tecserv UK are seeking a full time, permanent Fire and Security Alarm Supervisor (Midlands) to join our talented engineering team.

Founded in 2001, Tecserv UK has become renowned for being a highly successful fire protection, intruder alarm and CCTV installation and maintenance company.

Due to continued growth, Tecserv UK has a vacancy for a Fire and Security Alarm Supervisor to cover the "midlands/northern" area of the UK.

Overview
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and improving the service department.

You will be required to provide a first response and technical support to the service engineers and the helpdesk teams.

If required provide a link between the Tecserv helpdesk and the service customer.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • To ensure that all national service visits are carried out on time and to report all overdue services and solutions to the Service Manager on a monthly basis.
  • The Service Supervisor will monitor the service engineer areas to ensure that they are divided in an efficient manner and each engineer is issued with an achievable number of service contracts. This will normally be decided by service contract value.
  • If service visits fall behind more than 1 month, the Service Supervisor will agree with the Service Manager a method that will ensure service visits are brought back into line with the agreed schedule and in an agreed timeframe. This may be achieved by additional permanent personnel, subcontract labour, or by adjusting the existing service areas.
  • To evaluate and where required, provide training to the service team, this may involve manufacturer (third party) training, or tuition provided by the Supervisor themselves either on site or utilising our office training area.
  • From time to time the Supervisor may be required to assist the service engineers to complete service tasks, or remedial repairs. As a rule, the supervisor will provide support, instruction and training rather than carrying out the work themselves.
  • The Supervisor will, where required, meet customers to discuss any issues they may have and if possible, try to resolve these issues. If necessary, the Supervisor will discuss these with the Service Manager, should further action be required.
  • The Supervisor must plan and complete his/her outlook diary in line with all nonofficebased management personnel.
  • Work with the service administrators to ensure calls and other works are distributed fairly and evenly amongst all service engineers.
  • Carryout audits/checks of service engineer and subcontractor work, providing guidance or training to the engineer should it be required. If required discuss with the Service Manager a training plan to ensure each engineer is meeting the correct standards.
  • Should issues arise of an emergency nature, you may be called upon to assist or provide support to resolve the issue to a satisfactory conclusion.
  • Technical and Commercial knowledge is required to achieve best results in any given situation.

Applicants for this role should have the ability to provide the client with premium customer support at all time, as well as working well as part of a team, or individually when required.
