    QC Laboratory Manager, Chemical

    Location: Manchester (onsite)

    Type: Permanent

    We are seeking an experienced Senior Chemist looking to step up in their career or an experienced Lab Manager. This role will involve direct line management of a small QC team, based out of our laboratory hub.

    • Responsible for leading investigations related to the Quality Control department and implementing corrective actions.
    • Use data from investigations to identify business improvements.
    • Manage the QC team, responsible for staff development and training.
    • Ensure quality control processes are documented and updated.
    • Identify and implement test improvements (including new equipment) within the QC department.

    The Ideal Candidate:

    1. Will hold a degree in a relevant discipline, ideally Chemistry-based.
    2. Has worked in a chemical/QC setting in a similar role.
    3. Possesses management/supervisory experience and can coordinate effective training in GC (gas-chromatography) and HPLC.
    4. Has experience working to highly regulated standards, preferably within the chemical sector.
