Job descriptionNASS is looking to appoint a Communications Officer to join its small and busy team.
This newly created full-time role will be to develop and implement effective communications activities for members and external stakeholders with the goal of increasing awareness and understanding of NASS, its members, the issues and challenges facing the NASS community, and the sector as a whole.
You will be expected to write, create, upload and optimise content for the website, help produce and distribute regular digital newsletters, draft and oversee the design and print of collateral and publications, and create and manage compelling and regular content for the NASS social networking sites.
You will form part of the team authoring, editing and publishing discussion papers and policy commentary so you will be able to take complex issues and help create detailed, accurate documents, as well as possess the ability to distil those issues into easy to understand, digestible bulletins.
You will be able to draft and place press releases and develop relationships with key media and platforms appropriate for NASS.
Your role will also include ensuring consistency in terms of voice, branding and messaging across all communications including those generated by NASS and partner organisations.
You will also be involved in the planning and delivery of the annual NASS conference event and other events held throughout the year.
