The University of Liverpool Management School (ULMS) is seeking to appoint a Chair in the area of Finance to also be Subject Group Head of the Finance and Accounting Group.

You will have an outstanding international research reputation.


This appointment is central to the future development of the Group, initially formed in 2017, and to the drive to further enhance ULMS' position as a world-class Management School.

The group already has many internationally-renowned scholars, with a rapidly growing reputation.

The appointee will be expected to lead the development of the Group, continuing its trajectory of development, also working with members of the Group to deliver world-class research, mentor early career researchers, support the development of colleagues and enhance the international reputation of the School.

As Subject Group Head, the appointee will also be expected to shape and support new and innovative teaching directions.

Salary will be internationally competitive, commensurate with the appointee¿s standing and potential. You will be expected to be internationally recognised in your field, bringing outstanding research contributions.


The role of Subject Group Head will be for five years initially and will be offered in combination with a permanent post at Professorial level.


Formal interviews will take place on 31 March 2023, with presentations on 30 March 2023, and required meetings taking place in advance.
