The role
We seek a Finance Assistant to work in our busy Bideford Head office.

In this role you will provide support for the Finance Manager to ensure the monthly payroll is completed and that accurate and timely finance data is provided to Senior Managers.

You will assist with the effective and efficient functioning of the Finance Department - thereby ensuring that the business operates smoothly at all times.


Reporting to the Finance Manager you will take responsibility for a variety of day to day and month to month accounting tasks including sales and purchase ledger, accruals and prepayment logs, timesheet, expenses and payroll data preparation and stock reconciliations.

The role is expected grow to a more senior accounting role over the next two years.


About you

  • Educated to GCSE Maths and English at Grade B/C (level 5) or above.
  • Part Qualified AAT or 2 years+ relevant experience
  • Sage 50 Payroll Knowledge (or similar software)
  • Purchase Ledger & Sales Ledger experience.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • High standard of written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to high levels of accuracy

Pay:
£22,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
