£28,000 + 7% pension contribution


Location:
Hybrid: c.2 days in office (walking distance from Moorgate/Bank/Liverpool Street, London)/remote.

Role purpose and main responsibilities


The Brokerage is looking for a Programme Coordinator and Workshop Facilitator to support our Academy work for our existing programmes focused on finance and professional services as well as our brand new engineering strand.


Through our Academy, we help to develop young people so that they are equipped with the professional insights and skills needed for the workplace.

We do this via a high-quality curriculum of events, including masterclasses, bootcamps, careers conferences and mentoring that involve our corporate volunteers


As Programme Coordinator & Workshop Facilitator you will take the lead on organising events, facilitating workshops, developing collateral and supporting our young people across the Academy strand; whilst working in a highly collaborative and flexible way alongside other team members across the organisation.


Main Responsibilities

Deliver workshops - deliver a range of high-quality, online and face to face employability based workshops to young people aged 16-25;

Support the management of workshops & events - ensuring their preparation and smooth running, including communications and briefings for corporate partners and volunteers.

Maintain excellent relationships - with corporate partners and volunteers, seeking to create new opportunities wherever possible; and building relationships with our young people including regular monitoring of their progress and the provision of one-to-one guidance.

Support the research and updating of collateral:


  • Contribute to new ideas and ensure best practice
  • by providing feedback, taking a creative approach to delivery whilst maintaining the high standard of our sessions.

Complete monitoring and feedback - ensuring feedback is completed by workshop participants and volunteers and is fed back to host companies and input for The Brokerage's own records on Salesforce.

Maintain up-to-date records on our CRM system (Salesforce).

Occasional travel and early evening work (for event delivery), as required.


We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience working with young people and building relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • A dynamic personality with strong written and verbal communication with workshop facilitation skills
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • The ability to work independently and in collaboration with team members.
  • Knowledge of and interest in issues surrounding social mobility and/or broader equity, diversity and inclusion/ power and privilege in the workplace.
  • Relevant lived experience (i.e. experience of the challenges faced by those from lessadvantaged and/or BAME backgrounds)
  • A growth mindset, open to feedback, learning and development
  • Excellent IT skills, including demonstrable usage of Microsoft Office suite, CRM databases (e.g. Salesforce or equivalent); (and Canva desirable).
