John O'Callaghan Ltd is an accountancy and tax consultancy practice based in
Dundalk, Co Louth, dealing with a client base of sole traders and small/medium limited companies.
Job role
Due to continued growth the practice has identified a need for a new person who can help in developing our client support services in the area of bookkeeping, vat and accounts.
They will work alongside our team of bookkeepers and qualified accountants to assist the office in delivery of client services.
We offer the opportunity to gain a wide range of experience to clients, across a number of different industries.-
Hybrid working and reduced hours will be considered (28+ hours)._
Key responsibilities
- Ongoing bookkeeping services using cloud software/excel for clients to include monthly bank reconciliations and control account reconciliations
- Preparation of Vat Returns to include submission to Revenue on time
- Preparation of accounts to Trial Balance level for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Ability to deal with client queries
- Development and support of client relationships
The Person
- Minimum 3 years experience gained in a small/medium practice environment or industry accounts
Cloud accounting & office software experience is essential, for example Xero (preferred), Quickbooks, Surf, Dext, MS Office and other software packages
- Comfortable dealing with clients directly
- Excellent interpersonal skills fluent English essential
- Highly organised
- Self motivated and capable of recommending improvements in processes
- Ability to work in a team environment
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 28 per week
Salary:
£25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
