    Data Product Manager Role

    Overview

    The Global Data Team is tasked with developing a 'Global Data Platform' (GDP) to provide step-change analytical and insight capabilities firmwide. Well-managed data is crucial for driving critical decision making at all levels of the business.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure business priorities and challenges are understood by the delivery team.
    • Devise and manage product/project documentation resources.
    • Champion product management with stakeholders, explaining its role in agile product delivery and facilitating engagement with the process.
    • Work with Agile Practice Lead to embed agile best practices and support programme delivery.
    • Facilitate stakeholder engagement in the delivery process, ensuring they understand technical challenges affecting project progress.
    • Maintain a broad understanding of development lifecycle components, including data architecture, engineering, and visualisation.
    • Ensure product requirements align with corporate standards for IT security and privacy.
    • Develop testing strategies to align with product functional and non-functional requirements.
    • Coordinate testing of data ingestion and transformation routines with data architecture and engineering teams.
    • Lead post-project review sessions to identify recommendations and improvements.
    • Manage BAU backlog priorities, maintaining stakeholder engagement.
    • Proactively develop new data product ideas with stakeholders.

    Requirements

    • AIPMM certified digital product manager or equivalent experience.
    • Previous experience on a strategic data programme involving multiple data source integration or migration.
    • Familiarity with testing approaches.
    • Comfort with SQL or Python.

    This is a permanent role based in Dartford, with a competitive base salary, benefits, and a car/travel allowance.
